The dragon guarded her cave. The griffon, Bob, watched. He knew that the dragon guarded a golden egg. The dragon’s name was Jessica. Bob had battled with her before.
Jessica was bright neon orange. Bob thought of himself as a large griffon. After all, he was as big as a two-story building. But Jessica took big to the next level. She was as big as a three-story building. She was covered in big and rough scales that felt like sharp rocks. She sported two slightly curved horns on the top of her head that were at least one-story high. She breathed fire, bright-red flames. Those flames were dangerous. So hot that if you touched them, they would immediately turn your paws to dust. Jessica was super stinky, like sewer water. Bob had to plug his nose over the scent. Yuck!
Bob noticed that her eyes had gone hard and bright like purple diamonds. That meant she was angry and ready to rumble. She was pounding the ground with all four paws, making a steady, ferocious drum beat.
He didn’t care how angry Jessica was. He was determined to steal her golden egg. He could sell it for riches beyond the imagination. He could finally live like a king.
Bob, the griffon, ate his snack of chicken, fried just the way he liked it. So yummy, so greasy, crunchy and salty. It would give him strength in battle.
After licking each paw, the griffon set his plan in action. With his magic powers, he projected a baby dragon flying in the sky and made the projection say, “I can’t find anyone! Help me!”
Jessica was totally fooled. She took to the sky and raced to the false baby dragon. Meanwhile, Bob snuck into the cave, but he was attacked by at least a hundred bats. He ran out of the cave and sent his best friend, Jake, a telepathic scream, “Help!”
Jake immediately teleported to his location.
Bob yelled, “ I need you to ambush the bats in the cave by using your special teleporting skill.”
“No problem,” said Jake, and he disappeared in a blink.
Suddenly Bob heard the whoosh of monster dragon wings. He looked over his shoulder and saw Jessica zooming toward him. He only had one choice. He ran straight for the dragon in attack.
The dragon screeched to a halt mid-air, turned tail and flew the other way. Almost immediately, she twirled twice in the air then zoomed back.
“Oh, oh” thought the griffon. The dragon’s fire was now blue. She had managed somehow to make her flame hotter.
Bob held his ground. He attacked! To avoid being turned into dust from the dragon’s flame, he swirled and swirled and turned himself into a living torch–all bright green flames. Just as Bob attacked Jessica, the dragon, he saw Jake sneaking out of the cave holding a giant golden egg.
Bob decided to escape with Jake, but just then Chuck Norris jumped out from behind the cave. He wrestled the egg from Jake and ran so fast no one could catch him. Bob, Jessica, and Jake all stared with their mouths wide open…
The End.
