King Bob and the Dragon

The dragon guarded his cave. King Bob watched. He knew the dragon guarded a lot of treasure.

The dragon, Jimmy, was a combination of bright yellow and light red. He was twelve feet high. Along the ridge of his back were six inch, very sharp spikes. He had two very tall, very sharp, black horns.

King Bob knew from experience just how slimy it was to touch this dragon. The dragon’s skin oozed and stuck to your hand. It was totally cool. But those spikes were crazy sharp. They could cut you like butter.

Jimmy the dragon was super stinky, like dirty socks that had been hidden under the bed for five years. Disgusting!

The dragon was roaring so loud that it sounded like an explosion.

King Bob knew Jimmy was angry that he was here. He was here to steal the treasure and Jimmy had to know.

King Bob had a plan. He was going to distract the dragon while his partner snuck into the cave and stole the treasure. His partner in crime was his trusty butler, Bernadette. She had ninja powers and wore camouflage that disappeared her at night. Luckily, it was still night.

King Bob put his plan into action. He started to pelt the dragon with sticks. That made the dragon very mad, so mad that he thrust into the sky and broke the chains that Bernadette had just managed to sneak onto him. Oops.

Just then a knight walked by. It was Sir George from Spain! He was eating pancakes. Wow, those pancakes looked amazing. King Bob loved pancakes. They were delicious.

“Sir George! What’s up?’ King Bob said.

“Hola! King Bob. I am here to kill the dragon! All knights must defeat at least one dragon in their career!”

King Bob laughed “Hey, that’s cool because I want that treasure.”

The angry dragon suddenly began to pirouette like a ballerina. King Bob liked the dancing, but it confused him. Was the dragon still angry or not. Then the dragon came to a full stop.

The dragon spoke in a deep voice, “ King Bob and knight, what are you doing here?”

The knight bowed low and said,“I’m here to kill you.”

The dragon chuckled deeply. “That is a great idea. For when you kill me, I will return larger, even stronger, way more powerful! GO ahead Sir Knight, make my day!”

King Bob did not like this idea one bit. He knew his ninja butler was even now collecting the treasure. The last thing he wanted was for a stronger dragon to go after them once they were away with the treasure. “Sir George, please do not kill this dragon. We don’t need a more powerful dragon in the area.”

“You surprise me,” said the knight. “I would expect a king to always want a dragon dead.”

The dragon pounced on King Bob. He grabbed him and dragged him to the cave. The first thing King Bob saw in the cave was a huge pile of gold.

The dragon bellowed, “Where is all my treasure?”

Just then King Bob just barely saw his ninja butler, Bernadette, run out of the cave with the treasure. Oh no, double crossed!

The “Cliffhanger” End.
