The dragon guarded his cave. Steve, the knight, watched. Steve wondered what the dragon guarded.
The dragon was gigantic, at least 20 feet tall. The dragon was neon pink. Thought the dragon’s wings were closed, they looked as if they would have a very large wingspan. They were skin and bone. A long line of spikes ran down the dragon’s back to the tip of his tail. He had two pointy horns.
The knight thought the dragon’s scales would be smooth to the touch, but the spikes looked very sharp and dangerous. The dragon smelled like roses. The odor was almost overpowering. Steve hated the smell of roses. He dislikes all those rose thorns and that made him dislike the smell intensely.
The dragon roared, and the noise was so loud it hurt Steve’s eardrums. Plus, the force of the sound was like a great wind nearly knocking Steve down.
Steve slowly took another bite of his piece of cherry pie. Gosh, he liked the cherries. They were so sweet. He didn’t much care for the crust, so he ate around it. As soon as Steve finished his piece of pie, he was going to sneak into the cave, find out what the dragon guarded, and steal it because dragons always have the best treasure.
Steve wiped the last crumb off his lip then threw the rest of the pie as far as he could away from the cave. Immediately, the dragon pursued it. Obviously this pink and rosiferous dragon liked pie.
As soon as the dragon lumbered past him, Steve ran for the cave entrance. He dived inside. When his eyes adjusted to the cave’s darkness, he saw five baby dragons. They milled around silently.
Suddenly Chewbacca and Twinkie ran out toward the knight. The Twinkie tried to sit on the knight. He evaded the giant cream-filled monster. What the heck? Were Chewbacca and Twinkie related to the dragon babies? That would explain the cream oozing from the baby dragons’ bellies. The knight couldn’t help but think how yummy those babies looked with all that sweet cream. He loved to eat Twinkies.
Before he could have another thought, Chewbacca and Twinkie grabbed him. A huge roar filled the cave. The big dragon had arrived. His lips were stained red from the cherry pie. Steve managed to break one arm free. He grabbed his trusty magic sword and touched it to Chewbacca first and then Twinkie. The sword shocked them so that they dropped their hold and jumped back.
Suddenly a donkey poked his head inside the cave. Then he wandered in. When the donkey saw Steve, it went wild and chased him all around the cave and finally drove him out of the cave. Steve ran and ran. He got as far as the nearest village with the donkey on his tail.
He whipped around a building and crashed into three men. He recognized them as Slenderman, Herr O’Brien, and Notch. Then Big Dragon, Chewbacca, and Twinkie stormed the village. The donkey finally stopped chasing Steve and ran away. Big Dragon, Chewbacca, and Twinkie nabbed Steve. The Big Dragon carried him back to the cave.
When the dragon dropped him to the cave floor, Steve bolted, running deep into the cave.
The he saw it: a golden egg! It was amazing, like a meteor, at least ten times bigger than him and solid gold. Or maybe not solid. What if something wonderful was inside? Steve wanted to know.
With a giant crack, the egg split open. The knight had to jump back to keep from being crushed. The strangest thing crawled out of the egg. It was a teeny-tiny golden monkey. Steve lunged for the monkey, but it was too agile and got away.
The Big Dragon, Chewbacca, and Twinkie arrived and lunged for Steve…
