The alien stood by its spaceship. The alien’s mom, Bob, watched. They were of the fine race called the “Joes.” Bob’s child was about to leave. It was only one and a half “Joe” years old. As with all “Joes,” it wouldn’t even declare its gender till it was ten. It was very hard for Bob to watch her little Billy leave. But their planet was dying and only the “Joe” children were physically able to leave the “Joe” atmosphere. All of the children were searching for a new home for their species.
Billy was a beautiful child who looked a lot like its dad, Yoda. Bob loved that wonderful greenish, crinkly skin. Billy was a little smaller than most “Joes,” but its midi-chlorians were quite high! Yoda was gigantic compared to most “Joes” so Bob thought Billy’s tiny size was due to its cross-species genetic make-up.
The spaceship was huge, which was the same size as a typical “Joe” two-story house. This was necessary because Yoda had agreed to help Billy on its quest.
Bob gave Billy a big hug. It was so hard. Billy felt like rock. Gosh, Bob felt old, as she said goodbye to her little “Joe.” The ship was made of cotton candy so that her little Billy would have plenty of sustenance during its trip. The ship felt like soft cotton, but it had already been treated so that it wouldn’t be sticky.
Bob wished Billy would stop eating all those jellybeans that it loved. Most “Joes” hated jellybeans, but for some reason, Billy was addicted. She blamed Yoda. Billy smelled like one big, bitter jellybean. She could only hope that it would smell much better after living on cotton candy for so long. Billy was barking incessantly which meant it was really happy. Bob knew that Billy was overjoyed to be spending time with its dad, Yoda, but Billy was also happy and proud to be part of this quest to save all of the “Joes” from extinction. As sad as Bob was to say goodbye to Billy, she was proud, too.
The ship’s motor had started up, so there were constant farting sounds as it farted the essence of cotton candy in preparation for take-off. Bob could also hear the always-present groans coming from their dying planet. The planet was a stomach and worms were quickly eating it up.
Bob was grateful that the ship had been sprayed with Bunnynasium, which made it invincible. Yoda walked out of the ship. Immediately, Bob could smell bubblegum on his breath. Gosh, she hated bubblegum. Not only was he snapping and chewing and popping bubbles—all of which annoyed her—but she didn’t like the taste of bubblegum, so bland and wood-like.
Bob said a tearful goodbye to both Billy and Yoda, and they disappeared into the ship. Then Bob set her plan in motion. She put on the helmet she had just invented. It should make it possible for her to continue to breath off world. She then snuck onto the ship just in time.
They took off. Bob desperately needed to go to the bathroom. She snuck to the restrooms, but Billy and Yoda were in the hallway and saw her.
“I see your presence here is,” Yoda said. “Breath off world you cannot.”
“Yes I can,” Bob said. “I created this helmet and now I am safe off-world.”
Billy said, “Great, this is cool!” All of a sudden, the ship stopped farting. Billy yelled, “Oh no, we’re crashing!” as the ship spiraled down.
They crashlanded but because of the cotton candy and the Bunnynasium it felt as if they landed on a bed. Bob went with the others to check outside. The first thing she saw was a huge furry, blue creature who said, “Cookies!” Bob was frozen in shock. All Bob could think about was protecting her child.
The monster grabbed Bob, picking her up into the air. Billy ran at the monster and bit him on the leg.
Billy yelled, “ Eat us he will. Fight we must.” Billy spoke as Yoda did when he was addressing his father.
Bob saw Yoda pull out his light saber. Yoda ran at the monster, but then he paused. “Enough isn’t one. Make one we must.”
Billy ran to a bag, pulled out a huge jar of jellybeans and quickly turned them into another light saber using the force within it. Bob wanted to be angry about the jellybeans being on board, but she couldn’t be, given what Billy had done with them. Billy jabbed the monster with its light saber and the monster dropped Bob.
Yoda caught her before she could land, using the force, but her helmet was crushed. She started to have trouble breathing. She gasped. Billy tried to make her a new helmet out of the cotton candy, but it failed. Bob looked for some place to hide from the monster. But where?
Yoda charged into action, swung his light saber at the helmet and fixed it with a powerful surge of force. Bob put it back on. Suddenly, there was a huge explosion. A star had died. All planets in this galaxy were in jeopardy.
The monster yelled, “ You need ship, cookies will help!”
He whipped together a cookie ship and they all jumped in. They saw far off in the distance the “Joe” planet not yet destroyed. They raced home. When they got there, the monster who had told Bob and the others to call him the Cookie Monster offered to bring them to safety in the cookie galaxy.
All the “Joes” rushed with the Cookie Monster to safety.
The End.
