The Giraffe and the Dragon

The dragon guarded her cave. Julie, the giraffe, watched. She had no idea what the dragon guarded.

The dragon was very tiny, not the smallest Julie had ever seen, but really, really small. However, the dragon had ridiculously long feet, at least fifty-five feet long. The dragon was neon bright pink. She wore very thick glasses that were bigger than her head. Julie thought the dragon might be blind. She also thought she saw a large mustache under those glasses.

The dragon looked as if she would feel sticky and slimy and wet, like wet paint. The wonderful odor of rotten eggs wafted toward Julie. Oh how she loved that smell. It reminded her of her favorite food. Boy did that smell good!

The dragon was making a strange sound. It reminded Julie of the sound of a speedy dolphin, all high-pitched and squeaky. There was another sound coming from within the cave. It sounded like a child screaming. That didn’t bother her much since she wasn’t a big fan of kids, but she did wonder why the noise was happening.
The dragon was munching on jelly beans. Ick! Julie really didn’t like jelly beans. In Julie’s opinion, jelly beans tasted like ducks which she refused to eat. Besides, the dragon liked jelly beans, and Julie didn’t want to be like her.

Julie was torn. On the one hoof, she was curious about what the dragon guarded. On the other hoof, she wanted to go watch the Niners play the Ravens in Super Bowl 47. She hoped the Ravens would win.

Julie had a bag of egg-bombs. She threw one at the dragon. It exploded and caused the dragon to fly far away. Julie moved toward the cave. Suddenly, a very tall and thin creature, even taller than a giraffe, leapt out of the cave. He wore a black suit and had a blank, white face and white hands. He had large wings. The creature carried a baby with very sharp teeth. The baby tried to bite the creature.

Julie felt fear. She pulled out her magic wand and made a ninja appear. Julie knew that the baby in the creature’s arms pooped in his diaper because a truly lovely smell permeated the area around the cave. She waved her magic wand again and shrunk the creature and the baby so that they were quite small. Then she stepped on them, flattening them like pancakes. The flat creature slithered into the cave.

Just then, the dragon with the humongous feet returned. She followed the flat creature into the cave. From within the cave, Julie heard the sound of stomping feet. Had the dragon flattened the creature more?

The dragon came out of the cave and said to Julie, “You have been so kind to flatten the Slenderman and the baby. You deserve to be turned into a princess.”

Maybe the dragon wasn’t blind after all.  She waved her tail and POOF Julie looked down and saw that she wore a pretty pink ball gown.

But then there was another POOF. A full-sized Slenderman came out of the cave with the baby. An army of Slendermen followed him out. He threw the baby’s poopy diaper at the ninja. The ninja fainted. There was another POOF and Dora appeared with Boots.

All of a sudden, the entire army of Slendermen began to dance Gangham style. All of the noise made the ninja wake up. Just then Justin Bieber soared over on his paraglider. Dora collapsed to the ground fast asleep, snoring. Diego fell from the clouds. Then Julie decided to lead everyone in a round of Thriller.

By accident Julie stepped on Dora but she remained fast asleep. Justin Beiber ran to Dora’s side and kissed her.  Dora woke up like Sleeping Beauty . . .
