The dragon guarded his cave. Four-year-old Alvin watched. Alvin wondered what was in the cave.
The dragon was huge, at least ten times the size of a skyscraper. He was rainbow-colored. He had two neon red horns on the top his head and huge wings. Orange-red fire was coming from his mouth.
Alvin was very curious about this dragon and just a little excited. Alvin thought the dragon looked sharp to the touch because he had spikes all over his scales. Just then the dragon noticed Alvin. He seemed to be angry because his body heated up and he roared. Alvin could tell that the dragon’s temperature had gone up because he shimmered with heat, going all blurry. The dragon smelled like wood burnt by a fire – very stinky. The dragon went strangely silent. His head begin to nod. His eyes blinked twice and then he collapsed in a heap. He had fallen asleep. Alvin thought that either his anger had caused him to get sleepy or there was magic in the air.
Suddenly, Alvin heard a loud rocking noise, like a boulder rolling down a hill. Then a very large crack, like a firecracker. Behind a tree Alvin saw an evil witch peeking out. He knew she was an evil witch because she had a big nose, a blue robe with stars and a tall pointy black hat. She was drinking a green slimy-looking liquid that just had to be an evil potion. He thought it would taste like a watermelon smoothy. With a loud poof, she turned into a small girl, the same size as Alvin. She walked straight past the sleeping dragon and into the cave. Soon she returned with an adorable dragon in her hands.
Alvin had to do something. He ran up to the little girl – evil witch,
“Can I help you, little girl?”
“Sure,” she said. “Thanks so much.”
He took the baby dragon. “ I’ll carry him for you.”
As soon as the little girl-evil witch turned her back, he made a run for it, back into the cave. He hid behind a large boulder.
He heard footsteps and then an evil voice, “Where are you little boy?”
He had a feeling she wasn’t in her little girl guise anymore.
Suddenly there was a loud bang and on the other side of the cave in a spot that Alvin could see, a cheetah with a crown on top of this head appeared. It must be a cheetah prince and clearly he had magical powers. Yay! Alvin thought.
Then Alvin’s hopes were dashed. The cheetah yelled, “Hey evil witch, he’s over here with the baby dragon!”
The baby dragon had been asleep in Alvin’s arms. He woke up. When he saw the evil witch and evil cheetah prince, he began to cry. His tears magically started a tornado which swept up the witch and the cheetah and blew them out of the cave.
Then the adult dragon came back into the cave. He saw what had happened. He told the baby dragon and Alvin to hop on his back and away they flew.
But from out of nowhere, a monster King Ant appeared and flew after them. Suddenly Rapunzel with the flowing hair arrived on the back of a California condor.
She saw what was happening and yelled, “California condor, attack the King Ant.” He did and the King Ant vanished.
She led the dragon and his flying mates to her castle. There they had a big party and lived happily ever after.
The End.
