The dragon guarded her cave. Billy-Bob-Joe, the dragon, watched. He knew this dragon. Her name was Pink Panda. Pink Panda was guarding a doll, but not just any doll. It was a doll that looked just like Billy-Bob-Joe.
He had to destroy that doll. If he didn’t, he was very much afraid that having a duplicate of him could somehow destroy his very soul.
Pink Panda was a long, low-to-the-ground dragon. Pink Panda was the color of coffee, a rich brown, unlike Billy-Bob-Joe who was a light green.
Billy-Bob-Joe had always envied Pink Panda, ever since they had been quite young. Everyone liked her, even the horrible snake who had bitten off Billy-Bob-Joe’s leg and wing, making him terribly off-balance. Now he was forced to use his tail as a surrogate leg. Pink Panda had huge, long wings, whereas Billy-Bob-Joe’s wing was shorter and swept back, a delta wing. A very nice alien had created a helicopter-wing for Billy-Bob Joe, to replace his missing wing. That was one awesome Martian!!!
Pink Panda had smooth skin and scaly wings, whereas his body was all spiky. He often thought that his spikes were one reason why no one liked him except that friendly Martian.
Pink Panda stunk of roses and cotton candy. Yuck! He disliked those scents immensely. He smelled lovely, just like vomit! As he thought about his lovely smell, he made a retching noise.
Pink Panda, however was completely silent. Pink Panda rolled her eyes. It was the first reaction that made Billy-Bob-Joe realize that she knew he was there. She was always rolling her eyes at him, and it made him completely insane. She was sooo irritating.
Pink Panda took a giant bite out of a rotten carcass next to her. Billy-Bob-Joe thought that looked disgusting. He thought that it would taste just like yucky ice cream! Oooh. Gross!
It didn’t matter. All that mattered was stealing the doll from the cave and destroying it. He had to sneak into that cave. He noticed that the clouds were thickening into a very dense fog. He waited till the fog covered Pink Panda and the cave. Then he walked as quietly as he could. He had learned to walk very quietly with his tail and leg. He only made a slight thump. His flying was noisier, so he kept to the ground. He held his breath.
He was almost past Pink Panda, almost to the cave entrance, when he realized that by holding his breath, his smoke had started to collect in his belly.
“Oh-oh.” He felt as if his belly was expanding like a balloon.
“Oh-oh,” he thought again.
All of a sudden, he let out a huge, loud fart, and it want straight into Pink Panda’s face! The fog lifted enough for Billy-Bob-Joe to see that Pink Panda’s face went blank, her eyes rolled up in her head, and she passed out.
He took the opportunity to sneak into the cave. It was pitch dark inside, except for a small glow. He found where the glow came from. It was the doll that looked just like him. It was glowing!
He lost his balance and fell to the floor. Fire burst from his snout. The doll was glowing! What did that mean? Did that mean that he would die soon? He shook, and his heart raced. He had to destroy that doll. He managed to stand up again and lunge for it, but just as he was about to touch it, it moved to the left.
Oh, my! How did it move?
“You can’t catch me,” called the doll. Its voice was Pink Panda’s. The doll was possessed by Pink Panda!
He roared and blew fire at it. He managed to singe off the tail, but the doll moved too fast for him to destroy it. Suddenly, Billy-Bob-Joe’s tail hurt — a lot! Oh, no! When he damaged the doll, it hurt him! He couldn’t destroy the doll — it might kill him.
He heard a noise and looked up. Pink Panda was stomping toward him. She turned around and let out a monster fart. He saw the doll pass out. He felt very funny, woozy and disoriented. He collapsed and felt nothing.

Slowly he woke up. He appeared to be in an emergency room. Pink Panda hovered over him.
“You’ve been asleep for a thousand years.”
Billy-Bob-Joe stared in disbelief.
Before he could react, Pink Panda waved her tail, and the room shook. They catapulted into another dimension. The first thing Billy-Bob-Joe saw was a volcano spewing fire. Oh-oh, they were in big trouble now . . .
The “Cliffhanger” End.
