The dragon guarded her cave.
The wizard watched. Her name was Lillian. She had no idea what or who the dragon guarded.
The dragon was enormous and very green. Her eyes were bright orange without any white, and her claws were huge.
Lillian knew how hard the dragon’s skin was – just like metal. The dragon had very large wings with bright green scales, and her long tail was bumpy.
The dragon was making a high-pitched siren sound that made Lillian sure that the dragon guarded something very important. The noise was so loud, you could see rolling sound waves flowing from the dragon’s mouth, and they turned to fire in the sky. From within the cave, the Wizard heard a roaring, but it wasn’t just any roaring. It sounded like someone was scared.
Lillian was overpowered by the disgusting smell of the dragon. She smelled of garbage. Lillian was sickened by the smell of rotten apples.
The Wizard was amazed that despite the siren noise and the terrible smell , the dragon still managed to be eating chocolate cake. The cake looked really yummy. It was even ooey-gooey, melted by the rolling flames. It made Lillian hungry.
Lillian wasn’t sure what the dragon was guarding, since it seemed to be making a lot of noise, but she knew that somewhere in that cave, there was a precious diamond that she needed to steal. She had to steal the diamond because she had received a threatening letter that said she would be in terrible danger, if she didn’t.
Lillian wrapped her wizard’s cloak more tightly around her, as the storm became even more violent. She didn’t mind the booming thunder or the flashes of lightning, but it was making the chocolate cake soggy.
Quickly, Lillian whipped out her invisibility cloak and covered herself. She vanished and snuck towards the cave. The dragon went silent, but Lillian knew she followed.
Then she tripped over a large rock, and suddenly, the dragon pounced and caught her. The dragon breathed dangerous fire on the wizard, and she thought she might die.
Lillian raised her wand and yelled, “Fire!,” which pushed the dragon and the fire back at least twenty feet.
The dragon fell with a horrible crash but quickly got up again.
The wizard felt too scared to run in the cave, so she attempted to escape. But then she stopped. She had to steal the diamond. Lillian ran into the cave with the dragon close behind. She saw the baby dragon. She threw a spell so that she leapt over the dragon.
The mama arrived. Lillian cast another spell. This time she caused the baby dragon to attack his mom.
While the dragons fought, Lillian searched for the diamond. She saw a crack in the back wall of the cave and ran towards the bright sparkles coming from it.
Thinking quickly, Lillian grabbed a special volcanic rock and began to chip away at the sandstone. The diamond fell out into her basket, and Lillian threw it out of the cave. She ran past the baby dragon, but the mother reacted quickly and cast its own magic spell over Lillian, which threw her against the wall. She slid to the ground. Meanwhile, the dragon took the diamond and put it in a locked cage.
Lillian raised her wand and cast a magical spell, the most powerful spell she knew. It unlocked the cage, and the diamond floated to her. When she had it in her hands, she cast her famous “go home” spell, which sent her back to the safety of her castle. She hoped the dragon never found out where she lived.
The End.
