The Alien and the Dragon

The dragon guarded his cave. The unnamed, very big alien watched. The alien knew that the dragon guarded an ancient treasure, but no one had ever seen it before. Only the dragons! The alien was scared by the dragon’s huge blue wings and really scary teeth.

He had eyes like a snake only a very bright red in color. The dragon had a long spiky tail shaped like a mace. He had seen that tail crush everyone in his own army. Only a few people had survived, including the alien.

The alien knew that the dragon’s scales were as hard as a diamond. He had touched them in battle.

The dragon was roaring so loud that the ground shook, and the dragon was stomping his feet.

The alien knew he had been spotted. Each time the dragon stomped his feet, the ground shook so hard that the alien saw it rise and then settle back. Besides the noise of the dragon, all else was still. It was so quiet, it was as if every other creature had fled the area.

The dragon had an unusual odor. The alien had never smelled it before. He didn’t like the scent, not one bit. While it smelled fresh and a little bit spicy, he also smelled something harsh that was like poison.

The dragon was eating a large pile of fruits and vegetables that the alien couldn’t identify. He hoped that meant that the dragon was a vegetarian. The alien didn’t like the look of the fruits and vegetables. He thought they might taste just like dirt.

The alien was determined to get revenge on the dragon for his horrible deeds. The alien knew that his best revenge would be to steal the ancient treasure. The dragon would never be able to live down the shame of not having guarded it properly. The alien knew that he could only get the treasure if he tricked the dragon into getting it for him.

Fortunately, the alien was known for his hypnotic powers. He believed he could hypnotize the dragon. The alien pointed the antenna on the top of his head at the dragon. The dragon immediately stopped eating, raised his head and stared blindly at the alien. He was under the alien’s hypnotic spell.

Suddenly, a giant lizard crawled out of the cave. The alien realized that he was actually another dragon. He knew immediately that the new dragon had seen him. The new dragon stomped toward him. He wasn’t quite as loud as or as fierce as the other dragon, but he was scary enough.

The alien switched his antenna to the second dragon and quickly had him under his spell. The old dragon just went back to eating his meal without seeming to realize he had been hypnotized.

Then the first dragon finished his meal. He looked up. He saw the alien hypnotizing the great lizard and sprang into action. The dragon slashed his mace tail at the alien. But because he hadn’t finished digesting his food the slash fell short and whipped back to hit the dragon himself in the face. His face shot forward and he vomited on the alien. That was so disgusting, that it caused the alien to lose his hypnotic connection with the second dragon.

In a split second, the alien changed his plan. He grabbed some water and a towel and he offered both sympathetically to the dragon who had just lost his lunch. The dragon was touched and accepted the peace offering. They became friends. The alien told the dragon that he had friends that were great warriors, and they could take away the burden of guarding the treasure. He assured the dragon that he and his friends could be trusted.

The second dragon cried, “Don’t trust him,” but the first dragon couldn’t seem to help himself.

The alien knew he had the first dragons trust. Still the second dragon refused to trust the alien. He argued with the first dragon. Their verbal argument became so fierce that they stomped away from the cave and stopped paying any attention to the alien.

The alien used his antenna to send a signal to the few remaining aliens from the battle. They arrived and the alien put some of them in front of the cave as if they were guarding it. Meanwhile, he and one of his friends snuck inside the cave. Inside the cave, the alien saw a beautiful sight. A huge jewel embroidered treasure chest. It had so many jewels, it lit the cave through its sparkle.

The alien used his antenna again and called a special alien S.W.A.T. team that appeared on top of the cave in a flying saucer. They drilled a hole on the top of the cave and dropped a big rope down into the cave.

Suddenly it was too quiet. They alien couldn’t hear the dragons arguing. They must have heard the drilling. He yelled to his team to hurry up, but they were to late. The dragons stomped into the cave.

The aliens quickly attached the rope to the treasure. He yelled for it to be raised, but as it was raised the top fell open and the Great Spirit Bob flew out.

The Great Spirit Bob saw the alien. The alien had no idea what the Great Spirit Bob was going to do next. Then the alien knew and felt nothing more.

But then something amazing happened. The alien became one with the Great Spirit Bob!

The End.
