The dragon guarded his cave. The knight, Sir Richard watched. Richard knew that the dragon guarded a very special jewel. This jewel was very powerful. It could give someone great powers.
The dragon was shiny black. He was the fattest dragon ever. His eyes were red like fire. He had spiky wings. The knight remembered those wings all too well. He had fought this dragon before.
The dragon was very deceptive. Even though he was fat and portly his over-large wings could really pack a punch.
Richard remembered how scaly the dragon was to touch. He also remembered the dragon’s unusual claws. Each one was sharp and shaped in a different way. He thought the one that looked like a razor was especially scary to touch.
The dragon smelled disgusting—just like garbage, only worse. The dragon was roaring. The knight thought it was because of him. The roar was so loud it sonded like an earthquake. The dragon was also stomping his unusually-shaped claws on the ground, shaking the ground in front of the cave.
From behind, the knight could hear a whole bunch of people yelling. They were shouting, “Help.” When he looked for them, he couldn’t see them. All he saw was a forest. They must be in there.
In front of the cave was a cow lying on the ground. Suddenly the dragon stopped roaring and lunged for the cow. In one big gulp he swallowed it. Yeck ! That had to be the grossest, squishiest thing ever.
The knight felt sick to his stomach. The knight knew that there must be another dragon nearby. And he was a very bad dragon by all reports. The knight had heard that Kobe the dragon was known to capture people and burn them alive. That must be the reason the people were yelling for help.
All of a sudden, Kobe appeared from the forest. He looked dangerous. But Kobe ignored the knight and went straight for Squatty, as Richard liked to think of the other dragon. Kobe and Squatty started to fight. The knight knew that if Kobe won, the jewel would be his and he would be invincible.
While the dragons fought, the knight ran for the cave. He snuck in, grabbed the jewel and ran for his life. Over his shoulder, the knight saw Kobe take flight to pursue him. Kobe was roaring and breathing fire. He looked mad.
The knight had no choice. He rubbed the jewel and all of his muscles grew enormously. He was ripped. He turned to face the dragon…
