The alien stood by her spaceship. Bill, the astronaut watched. Today was his daughter, Princess Beauty Watcher’s, birthday. Her 33rd birthday. He was so happy that he could give her the theme she desired – an Alien Princess Party.
The alien princess was perfect. She was wearing a very realistic alien mask, that made her look super wrinkly and neon rainbow colored. She wore a princess gown – pink and purple and flowers and lace. She wore a crown that was tall and cone-shaped. Princess Beauty Watcher was going to love her.
The ship was ginormous – at least as big as Bill’s house: bright green with lots of strobe lights. Whoever had come up with theses special effects could have made a lot of money in Hollywood. The alien princess’ fake skin looked as if it would be rough to the touch. While Bill thought the ship was probably made of cardboard, it looked very sturdy. He thought his guests could touch it and enter without worrying about damaging it.
He wasn’t so sure he liked the alien princess’ pickle aroma. It was a good alien scent but he didn’t think his guests would like it. He was going to warn them to stay downwind and not to get too close unless they had to. It was a very strong scent. He thought some of that scent was coming from the large pickle she was currently eating. It looked juicy and sweet. He loved pickles. He just thought the odor was a bit much.
The first guest arrived. Bill had never seen her before. He started to approach to check whether she was at the right party. She stopped at the alien princess’ ship. When she touched the alien princess, the alien princess lashed out. The girl dropped and lay lifeless on the ground. Wow – that was a great show. He hoped they would do more little theatrics throughout the party. The real guests arrived and milled about. Bill couldn’t wait to see the expression on his daughter’s face when she showed up. The guest who was faking her death was still managing to stay lifeless. She deserved an academy award for playing dead.
Princess Beauty Watcher arrived, wearing her designer jeans.
“Surprise!” they all yelled. “Happy Birthday!”
Princess Beauty Watcher screamed with excitement. “OMG!” she cried. “This is so cool!” Princess Beauty Watcher roamed around, hugging and kissing all her family and friends. “This is the best alien princess birthday ever! Thanks so much, dad.”
Bill showed her how the alien had set up a death scene.
“OMG! That’s awesome.” She went over to the alien princess and the fake guest. “Wait a second,” she said. “This is Anna – she’s’ a friend. How did you get her involved? Anna, you can get up now!”
But Anna didn’t move. Princess Beauty Watcher bent over and touched her. She started to scream hysterically.
“What is it?” Bill yelled.
“She’s unconscious. She’s dead. I don’t know. Someone call 911.”
Bill dropped down next to his daughter and tried to wake up Anna, but she remained still. Bill jumped up and looked for someone who had been there when Anna fell. He saw Princess Unicorn. She was the daughter of one of his best friends, but she and Princess Beauty Watcher did not get along. They were archenemies. She had arrived early.
“Princess Unicorn, do you know what happened to Anna?” he asked. Maybe she had already been hurt when she approached the alien princes.
“OMG, I saw it all!” Princess Unicorn exclaimed. “That ugly alien princess hit Anna with her pickle and brought her down.”
Bill marched over to the alien princess. “What did you do? Why did you hit Anna?
The alien princess said, “My pet shark ran away with a jellyfish and I’m sad about it. I just had to hit someone.” The alien princess spoke funny. She had a strange accent, almost a lisp.
Bill didn’t buy her story. No one had a pet shark and even if they did, they wouldn’t lash out at an innocent bystander just because their pet ran away.
He felt anger in his belly. He grabbed the nearest cupcake and threw it at the girl. “How could you?”
The cupcake hit her zipper and her dress fell to the ground. It turned out that the alien princess must have been wearing a body suit because she was rainbow colored all over. She seemed scared. She started yelling but none of it made sense – it was all gibberish. Then she stomped into her ship. The ship started to beep, then it lifted into the air.
“Holy cow!” Bill said. It was a real alien. He passed out.
When he came to, no one was there. He ran inside his house and found Princess Beauty Watcher cowering behind the couch. She was still hysterical.
“The alien came back and took everyone who was standing outside.” She cried. “They’ve all been abducted.”
Bill raced to NASA, and his astronaut buddies. Bill convinced them to send their new rocket after the ship. He led the expedition. After a long while, he saw the ship, but no matter what they did, they couldn’t catch it. They followed it to a distant planet. Bill landed their spaceship.
Suddenly, a swarm of aliens surrounded their ship. In minutes, they were kidnapped, and dragged to prison. The prison was in the belly of a monster. It was slimy and gooey. Bill pulled a bomb out of his pocket and threw it toward the monster’s mouth. It exploded, making it possible for them to escape. Up ahead, Bill saw the alien princess creature with all his friends and family. Bill and his crew attacked. Bill rescued his friends and family. They ran. Suddenly, Bill saw a box labeled: Time Portal. He had an idea.
They all crammed inside, and he took them all back to the beginning of the party.
Bill marched up to the alien princess, and said, “You are my captive.”
He tied the creature up. He dragged it to NASA, and sent it on an unmanned rocket to an empty planet. Bill went back to the party, and found that everyone, including himself was duplicated. Bill freaked out…
The “Cliffhanger” End.
